Event information

On Saturday, October 31, 2026, the Lake Highlands PID, the North Lake Highlands PID, Dallas City Council District 10, JAH Realty, and DPD Northeast Division will host a Trunk-or-Treat event at the Lake Highlands Village Shopping Center parking lot (next to Tom Thumb). Any individual, family, business, church, organization, or group is invited to decorate their vehicle/trunks and distribute individually wrapped candy to kids and families.

To register for this event, fill out the form on this page. Registration deadline is Friday, October 23 at 5:00 PM. Limited space available. Onsite sign-up will not be available. By submitting this form, you agree to the rules and guidelines stated here.

Rules and guidelines

Trunk or Treat participants must provide their own individually wrapped candy, prizes, business promotional items, etc. Registered groups may start set up at 12:00pm and must be set up by 1:30pm as the parking area will be closed off thereafter. For safety purposes, vehicles will not be permitted to leave or move until the event is over. The event will take place from 2–4:00 pm. This is a family-friendly event, so please decorate your vehicle and trunk appropriately. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. There will not be electricity available for vehicle decorations; you will need to provide your own power, if required. You are responsible for the setup and cleanup of your vehicle location.
